next day second hostel , lady on bus,  head from dunquin to gentry, convent grounds

Third day lighthouse walk, paddy O’Brien, bus to cork

Sept 10-13

The walk around the Dingle Peninsula took five or six hours from the time the bus dropped me off in Dunedin until I caught a ride with an elderly gentleman in Ventry who was heading into the town of Dingle. I had to hunker down twice in sheep corrals when heavy storms moved in and I was in no particular hurry. I took whatever side trips looked interesting, like climbing to the top of the hill Where the Return of the Last Jedi was filmed and coming upon an ancient pillar visible for miles across the sea in all directions. It was one of the most dramatic and inspiring hikes I’ve ever trekked.

Five accordions, two ullien bagpipes, one fiddle, one banjo, one guitar and one flute. And incredibly tight. Some nights you just don’t want to end and this was one.
